PushingPlay

We talk games.

Chu Boi Tis I… Jacob Karsemeyer AKA MashedButtons. I am a Toronto based gametrepreneur and I created www.pushingplay.com as a means to embark on my career in the gaming industry. My first game system was an Atari that my family was given by our wealthy neighbors when they upgraded to a Nintendo. Since then my interest has only continued to grow. I can entertain myself with a game regardless of genre or target demographic as long as it is well designed. The only exception is numbers based sports simulation games, which I have NEVER been able to understand peoples interest in.
Chu Boi Chu Boi here. I’m from Nigeria, and currently doing the whole college thing in Rochester, NY. I started off as a Sega kid, but became a Nintendo fanboy during the N64/Gamecube era during my adolescence, and finally grew up and learned to love all three of my current-gen consoles equally. I have a pretty wide range of taste as far as genres but I’m borderline brain-dead when it comes to puzzlers, RTSs, and 2-D platformers. Expect nothing but sarcasm from me at Pushing Play and whatever you do, don’t take me seriously! You’ll only end up pissed off. Later.
Pete Leslie here, but you can call me SuicideFlip. I’ve been playing other people’s games for as long as I can remember. I’ve owned a smattering of systems over the years and currently own all the current generation systems. I’m working on my (hopefully) last year of college (or Uni, to you Canadian folk) in Worcester, MA. I play a pretty wide range of games, basically anything but RTS (my brain can’t handle that many different things going on all at once) or fighting games (I don’t have the patience to count frames)
My name’s Andrew Carreiro, and I post as Captain Scurvy. I’m at McMaster University for Multimedia, and I hope to some day get into game development. Between myself and my fiancee Ashley, we own a PS3, Wii, SNES, N64, 2 NES’s, PS1, PS2, GBA, and a PC that is crying to be upgraded. I’m really into trying out new games and genres, but my favourite games are all pretty standard stuff like Oblivion, Team Fortress 2, Civilization III, and Ocarina of Time. When I’m not writing for PushingPlay, I’m either animating, programming, drawing, gaming, or some abominable mix of one or more of those activities.
