We talk games.

No, seriously, watch it. Three guys get stabbed within the two minutes. Aside from the Oz-like frequency of shankings, the trailer gives us a glimpse at the single-player campaign, which is looking mighty intense.

The first trailer for Red Steel 2 just popped up and it reminds of the original Red Steel trailer; the idea seems too good to be true. Red Steel 2 seems to have taken a modern-day western vibe, much different oriental direction the original took. The protagonist wields both a magnum and a katana, automatically [...]

The above trailer shows us no gameplay, but it does reuse the ink-and-parchment style of the previous trailer. Italy has been confirmed as the location, but not much else is covered in the trailer, except the stoking of the hype fires for the fans of the previous game. There had been a rumor claiming Italy [...]

HINT: She’s quicker than you.

Before seeing this trailer I wasn’t too excited about Prototype. Sure the in-air helicopter jacking in the last trailer was impressive, but the game didn’t really stand out from the other upcoming superhuman sandbox games. This trailer really helps to give the game some personality by nailing down 10 bullet points that define it’s awesomeness. [...]

I’m conflicted about Punch-Out. It hits the nostalgia bone and I’m sure it will be fun, but it also reminds me of the “been there, done that” feeling that other Wii games like Mario Kart have envoked. Hopefully Nintendo won’t prostitute out another cherished franchise, but I’m not counting on it. Either way [...]

The Behemoth - Game #3 Trailer from The Behemoth on Vimeo.
With almost no other information to give out, The Behemoth (Castle Crashers, Alien Hominid) gives us a trailer for…a game. It’s a platformish looking game. Parts are definitely cooperative but others look competitive. What I can say for sure is that it looks like epic [...]

RetailPlay is a weekly look at upcoming video game retail releases. Check back every Tuesday to see what to expect in the following week, and keep an eye out for DownloadPlay on Fridays, which looks at downloadable game releases.

Big week for portable games! We’ve got Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars and the puzzler Henry Hatsworth [...]

Tennis balls, that is. As I mentioned on 3PX, I’m pretty stoked for Grand Slam Tennis on the Wii. Tennis is particularly popular with my family and my dad especially. I remember him not letting me touch the TV remote for a whole week because Wimbledon was on. I missed sooo many episodes Beast Wars [...]

When I first saw the Wii I thought of two things: “Wouldn’t be bad ass if a game used the Wiimote as samurai sword?” and “Aww sweet, now I can play real golf without having to go outside or be rich.” Red Steel failed on the first thought, Tiger Woods 10 looks like it’s gonna [...]
