So it looks like SF4 is running into some controversy. A user on youtube posted this video of what people are calling an infinite combo, meaning a single combo that can drain the opponents entire lifebar. While El Fuerte, a newcomer to Street Fighter, looks like he has what might be a broken combo, it is nowhere near as ‘infinite’ as the combos from Street Fighter VS X-Men, which can literally go on far past 99 hits. The video above shows six hits at best, which is impressive, but far from infinite. Capcom has publicly denied that the video depicts an ‘infinite combo’ but instead just a very big one.
I personally can’t wait to try SF4 out, and have been planning a pilgrimage up to the only machine in Ontario. We’ll see how it goes.
